About
Hi, I’m Will. I’m a principal full stack developer leading the API team at a company of 15 engineers. I spend most of my time in Django, Python 3.12, and Angular- but I care more about how teams work than what tech stack they use.
This blog is where I share notes on building and maintaining real-world software: practical Django advice, team practices that actually work, and the trade-offs behind technical decisions.
You won’t find beginner tutorials or hype-driven frameworks here- just honest write-ups from working in production codebases and helping a small team ship good software.
What to Expect
- Django, Python, and API design
- Code review and engineering culture
- Performance tuning and practical testing
- Architecture patterns for growing teams
- Lessons from real bugs, fixes, and experiments
Who This Is For
If you’ve been through a few refactors, reviewed hundreds of PRs, or helped steer a small team, this site’s for you. I try to keep the tone straightforward, technical, and honest about the messier parts of building good software.
